The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has announced an $18,689,731 contract awarded to HSG Park Joint Venture 2, LLC. The contract is for the construction of the Southern Embankment Reach (SE-3) and related work as part of the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management Project. The project completion is anticipated by September 10, 2027.

Funding for this initiative comes from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), which was fully paid for and crafted with the involvement of U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND). Under the BIL, USACE received $437 million to finish all remaining federal work associated with the diversion project.
