Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) Caring Foundation has released its 2024 Impact Report, detailing investments and partnerships aimed at enhancing the health of communities across North Dakota. The report highlights the Foundation’s collaboration with community organizations and nonprofits to address key health issues.

“The Caring Foundation has made meaningful strides in addressing the critical health needs of North Dakotans. Our commitment to creating healthier communities through strategic partnerships and public initiatives has truly made an impact in every corner of our state as we remain deeply dedicated to improving behavioral health, social determinants of health as well as proactively addressing preventive care to avoid illness and disease before they occur,” stated Amber Blomberg, BCBSND Caring Foundation executive director.

In support of these initiatives, the Foundation provided $875,000 in funding to various nonprofits throughout the state. Additionally, it continued its partnership with North Dakota State University Center for Social Research to track social drivers of health by developing an interactive dashboard on ndcompass.org and examining women’s and mothers’ health in North Dakota.

Looking ahead, the BCBSND Caring Foundation is accepting letters of intent until January 31 for their SPARK Grants. These grants focus on supporting efforts related to health and community-based wellness and prevention. More information can be found at bcbsnd.com/spark.
