A section of Canary Avenue on the Bismarck State College campus will be closed from noon on May 20 until 6 p.m. on May 23 for the state track meet, according to an announcement released May 18. The closure will affect the area from the main parking lot north of the MDU Resources Community Bowl, extending west and south to the parking lot at the southwest corner of the Community Bowl.

The temporary road closure is intended to manage increased traffic and ensure safety during this major event. There will be no detour in place, but attendants are scheduled to open barricades for vehicles needing access to the Gateway to Science building.

To help residents and visitors navigate around construction and closures, a status map of active road projects in Bismarck is available online through the city’s mapping service.
