During a meeting with Dr. Scott Snyder from the University of North Dakota (UND), Rep. Fedorchak explored UND’s federal research priorities and ongoing projects in various fields such as energy and defense technologies.
The Northern Plains National Park Heritage Area emphasized the importance of preserving North Dakota’s natural beauty and heritage.
Rep. Fedorchak commended participants of the North Dakota Special Olympics for promoting inclusivity. Toby, an athlete from Grand Forks, expressed his enthusiasm for bowling.
Discussions with the North Dakota Rural Water System Managers highlighted the need for continued funding to support rural water systems.
In talks with the North Dakota Department of Transportation, Rep. Fedorchak stressed cooperation among federal, state, and local partners to tackle infrastructure needs.
Chief Agent Ben Leingang from the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation updated Rep. Fedorchak on fentanyl challenges in the state and efforts to deport illegal immigrants. This was linked to her support for H.R. 27, the HALT Fentanyl Act.
The North Dakota Barley Council addressed trade issues and crop insurance while leaving a “No Barley No Beer” sticker at her office.
Rep. Fedorchak also met students from Bismarck High School discussing drug prevention among minors and vaping risks at high schools.
Students from Tribal Colleges shared their educational experiences emphasizing TCUs’ significant role in their journeys.
A meeting with Mr. Dan Williams, Alberta’s Minister of Mental Health and Addiction, covered shared interests between North Dakota and Alberta regarding trade as well as hockey discussions involving University of North Dakota players.
Lastly, discussions with Community HealthCare Association of the Dakotas focused on incentivizing efficiency in rural health care through innovative models addressing behavioral health services.
