The North Dakota Department of Transportation announced on Mar. 26 that construction will start Monday, March 30, on the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 east of Bismarck. The project will reconstruct the westbound lanes from Bismarck to Menoken and is expected to be completed this fall.
The department said the westbound lanes will be closed during construction, with traffic shifted head-to-head onto the eastbound lanes. Motorists should expect reduced speed limits, minimum delays, and a 14-foot width restriction in place for the duration of the project. Flaggers will assist traffic through the work zone at times.
According to a statement from the North Dakota Department of Transportation, “The North Dakota Department of Transportation would like to remind motorists to slow down and use caution throughout the work zone.”
