The University of North Dakota men’s tennis team ended its 2025-26 season on April 25 after a 4-0 loss to No. 71 Denver in the Summit League Men’s Tennis Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The result means North Dakota finishes with a 15-10 record and misses out on its first conference title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tennis Championships since joining Division I.
In doubles play, Denver secured an early lead by winning matches at both the No. 3 court (6-1) and No. 2 court (6-3). The match between Darrshan Suresh Kumar and Christos Alex at No. 1 was left unfinished with UND trailing, 2-5.
Denver continued their strong performance into singles competition, clinching opening sets across all six courts before closing out three two-set victories at positions six, five, and four to secure the overall win. Suresh Kumar managed to take the second set at position two by a score of 6-3 before play was halted as Denver reached four points.
