North Dakota women’s tennis had four team members recognized with conference honors on Apr. 23, as two players were named to the All-Summit League Team and two received honorable mention recognition.

These awards highlight the achievements of the Fighting Hawks during a competitive season and reflect individual performances that contributed to the team’s success.

Ethel Li and Emma Roberts were selected for the All-Summit League Team. Li, a senior, competed at the No. 1 singles position and finished with a 9-12 overall record in singles play, along with a strong doubles performance alongside Jule Schulte. She earned multiple weekly conference honors for both singles and doubles play. Roberts, a freshman from New Zealand, posted a 13-5 singles record while remaining undefeated at certain positions and also contributed significantly in doubles matches.

Alyssa Giupponi and Jule Schulte were named to the All-Summit League Honorable Mention list. Giupponi recorded eleven singles wins throughout the season, including several decisive victories in straight sets, while also achieving eight wins in doubles competition across different pairings. Schulte added to her program-record career win total by earning eleven more victories this season; she was also recognized for her successful partnership with Li in doubles play.

The Fighting Hawks are set to begin post-season play as they face Omaha in the semifinals of the Summit League Women’s Tennis Championship on Friday at noon in Tulsa.

Other conference awards included Coach of the Year Paul Wardlaw (Denver), Newcomer of the Year Yunfei Cai (Denver), and Player of the Year Louise Wikander (Denver).
