The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) has acknowledged significant traffic congestion on Interstate 94 in Bismarck and Mandan. This is due to an ongoing chip seal project, which involves single lane closures on the interstate.

Efforts are being made by the NDDOT and the project contractor to adjust these lane closures during nighttime hours. The aim is to enhance traffic flow as work continues.

The completion of the chip seal work is anticipated by July 25, with permanent striping set for completion by August 15. Motorists are reminded by the NDDOT to slow down and exercise caution within the work zone.
