Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer, along with Representative Julie Fedorchak, have announced that the North Dakota State University (NDSU) Bison football team will visit the White House and U.S. Capitol on April 9. The visit is in recognition of the team’s NCAA Division I FCS national championship win.
Hoeven has been instrumental in organizing this visit after discussions with President Donald Trump to extend an invitation to the team. “The Bison are tremendous representatives of our state, having developed a record of excellence through their hard work, dedication and strong leadership,” stated Senator Hoeven. He added that they look forward to honoring the team’s achievements at the White House.
Senator Cramer remarked, “Like President Trump, the Bison never get tired of winning,” expressing his anticipation for celebrating their victory together.
Representative Fedorchak emphasized North Dakota’s pride in its agriculture, energy sector, and particularly in NDSU’s football success. She noted that with ten national championships in 14 years, NDSU exemplifies football dominance and said she was thrilled about their recognition by President Trump at the White House.
NDSU President David Cook commented on the honor bestowed upon the team: “Our Bison football team’s national championship victory is a source of great pride for the entire NDSU community and the state of North Dakota.” He expressed gratitude towards Senators Hoeven and Cramer for their role in commemorating this achievement.
