North Dakota announces over $800K in agriculture development funding

Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has announced the allocation of funds from the Agriculture Diversification and Development (ADD) Fund for three projects. These awards, amounting to $832,430, were approved during the ADD quarterly meeting held on February 26 in Bismarck.

The ADD Fund is managed by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture. It aims to support new or expanding value-added agriculture businesses that show financial feasibility, enhance industry profitability, create jobs, and contribute to North Dakota’s economic growth. Eligible projects include agriculture product manufacturing, animal production facilities, commodity processing facilities, and food production and processing facilities. Feed or pet food processing facilities may also qualify.

The recipients of this funding are:

– KT Cattle Feeders received $250,000 to facilitate year-round cattle finishing and marketing. For more information, contact Kevin Throener at 701-680-1632.

The next grant application hearing will be held on May 28-29, 2025, in Minot. Applications must be submitted by April 1, 2025.
