The North Dakota Mill has announced a profit of over $26.6 million for fiscal year 2025, representing a 28% increase from last year’s record of more than $20.7 million.

In a joint statement, members of the North Dakota Industrial Commission said, “The dedicated team at the North Dakota Mill delivered another exceptional year with record shipment volume of 18.7 million hundredweight, a record 40.3 million bushels of grain purchased, and gross sales of $476 million. We are grateful for their support of the mill’s mission and for their hard work to deliver a profit to its owners – the citizens of North Dakota.”

Mill President and CEO Vance Taylor attributed the results to local agriculture and staff performance: “It all starts with North Dakota farmers again delivering superior quality spring wheat and durum to the mill. Profits were driven by an increase in shipment volumes of 7%. Our dedicated employees remain focused on providing consistent quality products delivered with the highest level of customer service.”

For fiscal year 2025, more than half—52.5%—of profits ($12,679,845) have been transferred to the state’s general fund, while $1,334,720 was directed to the agricultural product utilization fund. The rest is allocated for mill operations.

Founded in 1922 as the North Dakota Mill and Elevator Association, the facility operates under oversight from the Industrial Commission made up of Gov. Kelly Armstrong, Attorney General Drew Wrigley and Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring.
