The North Dakota Transmission Authority (NDTA) has announced a special grant round aimed at supporting utility electric grid resilience projects. The available funding for this initiative amounts to $2,843,075. This sum includes contributions from the Department of Energy’s IIJA Grid Resilience Formula Grant, accounting for 85% of the total, with the remaining 15% sourced from North Dakota state legislative appropriations.

A public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 16th, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the State Capitol building in the 14th-floor conference room. A virtual attendance option will also be provided. During this session, staff from the North Dakota Industrial Commission and grant administrative personnel from the Energy and Environmental Research Center will join NDTA Executive Director to provide details on the grant application process and respond to any questions attendees may have.
