The women’s team has made headlines nationally as its four-person squad ranks fifth nationwide in the women’s 10,000-meter event squad rankings this season. Seven members of UND’s women’s team currently rank within the Top-48 of their respective West Qualifying Lists for potential NCAA West Prelims qualification later this month; two men also rank within that range across three total events.
UND athletes have set numerous new top-10 outdoor marks this season—including nine school records—across various disciplines such as middle-distance running, hurdles, jumps, throws, relays, heptathlon and steeplechase.
Athletes who remain among their event’s Top-48 after this weekend will advance to compete at NCAA West Prelims from May 27–30 in Fayetteville.
