May marked a significant win for a Powerball player in Jamestown, securing a $100,000 prize. The ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball during Wednesday night’s draw. The winning numbers were 1, 2, 3, 57, 59, with the Powerball being 9. The Power Play multiplier at the time was 2.
The ticket was purchased at Hugo’s #9, located at 310 1st Ave South, Jamestown. Initially, the prize was $50,000, but by opting for the Power Play feature, the ticket’s value doubled to $100,000. The retailer, Hugo’s #9, will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The winner needs to claim their reward at the North Dakota Lottery office within 180 days from the draw date.
Randy Miller, the interim director of the North Dakota Lottery, stated, “As the temperatures are rising in North Dakota, so are the winnings for lottery players.” Miller also highlighted other recent lottery winnings, which include a $60,000 Lotto America win with an All Star Bonus, a $20,000 Lotto America win, a 2by2 jackpot of $22,000, and several other prizes ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, awarded since the beginning of spring in March.
