A Powerball ticket sold at M&H Gas #34 in Williston matched four white balls and the Powerball for Saturday night’s draw, resulting in a $100,000 prize for the winner, according to a May 12 announcement from the North Dakota Lottery. The winning numbers were 15, 41, 46, 47, 56 with a Powerball of 22 and a Power Play multiplier of two.
The significance of this win is underscored by its size; the original prize was $50,000 but doubled to $100,000 because the player purchased the Power Play option. M&H Gas will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The holder must claim their prize at the North Dakota Lottery office within 180 days of the draw.
Another player from Grand Forks won $4,000 on Lotto America by matching four white balls and the Star Ball using an online play service. That winner also benefited from purchasing an All Star Bonus option which quadrupled their initial prize amount.
“North Dakota has had 50 prizes of $1,000 or more since the beginning of 2026,” said Thomas Lawler, director of the North Dakota Lottery. “This is the third Powerball prize of $100,000 or more, in addition to twenty $22,000 2by2 jackpot prizes. Those fifty big wins have totaled more than $900,000 in prizes.”
“The lottery luck continues in North Dakota,” Lawler said. “Over the past three months, North Dakota Lottery players have won thirteen $22,000 2by2 jackpots and two $150,000 Powerball prizes. Two-by-two has had seven hundred sixty-three jackpot winners and thirty-two Tuesday Doubler jackpot winners since it launched in early two thousand six.”
Looking ahead to upcoming draws on Wednesday May 13th: The Powerball jackpot stands at sixty-nine million dollars while Lotto America offers twenty-five point four million dollars as its top prize.
