Senator John Hoeven provided a statement following the Senate’s approval of a budget resolution. This resolution is intended to act as a framework for reconciliation legislation. The proposed legislation aims to offer permanent tax relief, identify savings to address the national debt and deficit, and enhance investments in areas such as national defense, border security, and domestic energy production.

Hoeven emphasized the significance of the budget as a means to further the agenda of former President Trump, highlighting key areas such as tax relief, energy dominance, and security at the borders. The plan also seeks to curb waste, fraud, and abuse, while safeguarding programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Hoeven expressed his commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues in the House of Representatives and with Trump to push forward these initiatives, aiming to improve safety and prosperity for the American public.

“This budget is an important step in advancing the agenda laid out by President Trump, including tax relief, energy dominance as well as border security and national security. At the same time, it will help to cut waste, fraud and abuse while protecting Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid,” Hoeven stated. “We’ll continue working with our colleagues in the House and President Trump to advance these priorities for the American people and make our nation safer and more prosperous.”
