Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak of North Dakota has expressed her approval following the Senate’s passage of S.J.Res. 31. The resolution, which was introduced by Senator John Curtis of Utah, aims to overturn the Biden administration’s reinstatement of the “Once-In-Always-In” rule. The Senate passed the resolution with a vote of 52-46.

Congresswoman Fedorchak criticized the rule, stating, “The Biden administration’s reinstatement of the ‘Once In, Always In’ rule is a bureaucratic mandate that punishes energy producers, manufacturers, and businesses for reducing emissions.” According to Fedorchak, the rule permanently classifies facilities as “major sources” of hazardous air pollutants, even if they have made investments to reduce emissions below federal thresholds. She added, “Businesses that invest in cleaner technologies should be rewarded, not locked into outdated, costly regulations that remove any real incentive to improve.”

Fedorchak expressed her appreciation for the Senate’s decision, saying, “I applaud the Senate for passing this resolution and thank Senator John Curtis for his leadership.” She is hopeful that the House of Representatives will soon vote on the resolution, allowing it to proceed to President Trump’s desk.
