Census Bureau: More men than women in North Dakota in 2019

Of the 756,717 people living in North Dakota in 2019, 48.8 percent (369,162) were women and 51.2 percent (387,555) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Peace Garden News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 23,818. In the 65 and over age range, there were 61,414 females and 51,469 males.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau's American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
