North Dakota Forest Service issued the following announcement on April 3.
One year ago, residents of Medora were returning home after an evacuation for a wildfire that threatened the town and Burning Hills Amphitheater. As we enter another fire season, fire prevention should be at the front of everyone’s mind.
Be aware of conditions and burn bans in your local area by visiting NDResponse.gov
Stay off dry grass and don’t drag chains
Be sure debris burns and campfires are dead out before leaving unattended
