Gov. Doug Burgum and Lt. Gov. Brent Sanford today announced the 2022 Governor’s Awards for Excellence in Public Service, recognizing team members for making a positive difference in the lives of North Dakota citizens through their dedicated work in state government.
Members of NDDES were recipients of the Roaming Bison Award (Team) for their work during the 2022 spring storm response. Both the Homeland Security Division and Division of State Radio were recognized for their collaboration with other state agencies, including the North Dakota Department of Transportation, North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department and North Dakota Highway Patrol during a historic blizzard April 12-14 and a severe winter storm April 22-24 that left thousands of North Dakotans without electricity.
