Hoeven Cosponsors Senate-Passed Resolution Designating National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Native Women and Girls

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement after the Senate approved a resolution designating May 5, 2023 as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Native Women and Girls. Hoeven is a cosponsor of the bipartisan Senate resolution introduced by Senators Steve Daines (R-Mont.) and Jon Tester (D-Mont.). 

“Today we mark the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Native Women and Girls. Our bipartisan resolution was unanimously approved this week in the Senate to help raise greater awareness about these tragedies. We remain committed to enhancing law enforcement training and improving public safety in tribal communities.”
