North Dakota State University's Bison football team secured a victory over the Montana State Bobcats in the NCAA Division I FCS Championship game with a final score of 35-32. This marks the Bison's tenth championship win in fourteen years.
Following this achievement, U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer from North Dakota announced that President Donald Trump will host the victorious team at the White House at an upcoming date. Additionally, Senator Cramer and fellow North Dakota Senator John Hoeven have introduced a resolution to formally congratulate the Bison.
In a speech on the floor of the United States Senate, Senator Cramer extended his congratulations to the team and highlighted their success. "You can’t help but use the word dynasty," stated Cramer. He mentioned that quarterbacks Tommy Mellott from Montana State and Cam Miller from NDSU faced each other in this same championship game as freshmen, where NDSU also emerged victorious. "What a program and what a great group of guys that created," he added.
Senator Cramer concluded by expressing pride in North Dakota State University, saying, "We’re just so proud of North Dakota State University. We’re honored to be able to celebrate with them in this special way."
