U.S. Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer have expressed their support for the reappointment of Dallas Carlson as U.S. Marshal for the District of North Dakota. The senators recommended to the Trump administration that Carlson, who has served in this role since October 2018, continue his tenure.
The senators praised Carlson's leadership and highlighted his extensive experience in law enforcement. His career includes service with the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, Devils Lake Police Department, and as Director of the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI).
"Marshal Carlson’s extensive experience, exemplary record, and unwavering commitment to public service make him the ideal candidate to continue leading the District of North Dakota," stated Senators Hoeven and Cramer. "His reappointment would further ensure stability and excellence in this essential role."
Dallas Carlson was initially appointed by President Trump as U.S. Marshal for North Dakota in 2018 and confirmed by the United States Senate.
