Senator John Hoeven played a pivotal role in the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee's approval of two key nominations. The committee approved Governor Doug Burgum for Secretary of the Interior and Chris Wright for Secretary of Energy. These nominations are considered crucial for advancing a pro-growth energy policy in the United States.

Burgum received an 18-2 vote, while Wright was approved by a 15-5 vote, reflecting broad bipartisan support. The nominations will now move to the full Senate for consideration. Senator Hoeven is actively working to secure a floor vote within the next week to ten days.

"In order to implement an energy policy that will actually serve the interests of our nation and bring down prices for American consumers, President Trump needs to have his team in place," stated Hoeven. "Doug Burgum and Chris Wright are central to these efforts, and by securing committee approval, we have brought them all the closer to fulfilling their essential leadership roles at the departments of Interior and Energy, as well as the National Energy Council."

Hoeven emphasized ongoing efforts in the Senate to advance policies that harness America's abundant energy resources, including oil, gas, and coal reserves on federal lands.
