The United States Senate has confirmed Scott Turner as the 19th Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) with a vote of 54 to 44. U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer, representing North Dakota and a member of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, expressed his support for Turner's nomination.

Senator Cramer stated, "Scott Turner is first and foremost a leader, and he will be an excellent Secretary of Housing and Urban Development." He further emphasized Turner's understanding of supply-side policies and his ability to address the needs of landlords in providing affordable housing options. According to Cramer, local and tribal communities in North Dakota stand to benefit from Turner's experience as a builder and developer.
