Senator John Hoeven released a statement following the U.S. Senate's confirmation of John Ratcliffe as the new Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The confirmation is part of efforts to establish President Trump's team promptly.

"We’re working to get President Trump’s team in place as soon as possible, and today confirmed John Ratcliffe as Director of the CIA," Hoeven stated. He highlighted Ratcliffe's previous experience, saying, "John did a good job serving as the Director of National Intelligence during the first Trump administration and will bring the same strong leadership to the CIA."

"He has a solid record of pushing back on China and our other adversaries, and will help ensure that our nation has the sound intelligence we need to keep Americans safe," Hoeven concluded.
