Senator John Hoeven has announced the confirmation of Jamieson Greer as the U.S. Trade Representative by the Senate. In his statement, Hoeven highlighted Greer's past service in the U.S. Air Force and his role as chief of staff to the U.S. Trade Representative during President Trump's first administration.

Hoeven emphasized that during Greer's confirmation process, he acknowledged "the importance of expanding market access for U.S. producers, including our agriculture sector." The senator expressed confidence that "USTR Greer will play an important role as the Trump administration works to secure better, long-term trade agreements on behalf of U.S. producers."

Greer's appointment is seen as a strategic move by the Trump administration to strengthen trade relations and improve market opportunities for American producers.
