Gov. Armstrong has officially declared March 18, 2025, as North Dakota Agriculture Day, aligning with the national celebration of agriculture. The announcement was marked by an event at the state Capitol in Bismarck where various agriculture-related groups gathered.
Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring highlighted the participation of numerous organizations during the event. "Many of these groups had display booths and tables in the Memorial and Legislative Halls today," he stated. He noted that legislators, Capitol employees, and visitors engaged with these displays to understand better agriculture's essential role in North Dakota while enjoying meals featuring local commodities.
Goehring emphasized the state's agricultural strengths: "North Dakota has been blessed with abundant resources and a varied landscape that enable our farmers and ranchers to produce food, feed, fiber and fuel for families near and far." He added that it is important for those involved in agriculture to feel appreciated by the state.
More than 20 organizations related to agriculture took part in today's activities at the Capitol.
