Construction on Interstate 94 east of Bismarck is set to commence on Tuesday, April 1. The project involves the reconstruction of the eastbound lanes from mile marker 162 to 172 and a section of the eastbound Apple Creek rest area parking lot.

During construction, both the eastbound lanes and the rest area will be closed. Traffic will be redirected head-to-head on the westbound lanes for the project's duration. However, ramp access will remain available at Exit 170 Menoken Interchange.

Motorists should expect a reduced speed limit and minimal delays. Flaggers will assist traffic through the work zone as needed, and a width restriction of 15 feet will be enforced.

The project is anticipated to conclude this fall. The North Dakota Department of Transportation advises drivers to slow down and exercise caution in the work zone.
