The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) has announced scheduled maintenance on interstate barrier walls in Fargo, which is expected to cause lane closures next week. The maintenance is set to begin on Monday, April 14, with crews working to remove sand and small debris.
The inside lanes of Interstates 29 and 94 will be closed during the project, leading to anticipated short delays for drivers. The maintenance will start on southbound I-29 within the city limits on Monday morning. Upon completion of this section, work will proceed to the northbound lanes of I-29. The project will then shift to Interstate 94, starting with the eastbound lanes before concluding with the westbound lanes.
The NDDOT has projected that the maintenance will be completed within a single day. Until then, motorists are urged to slow down and use caution while driving through work zones. The department emphasized the importance of safety for both the crews and the traveling public.
