The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) will implement a traffic shift on Pacific Avenue and Chateau Road starting the week of May 22. The change is part of ongoing construction work on a new roundabout at this location.

Traffic on Pacific Avenue will be redirected through the two north side lanes of the roundabout. Motorists traveling along Chateau Road will enter Pacific Avenue from the east side of the roundabout. Additionally, pedestrians will use a newly constructed concrete sidewalk on the north side of the roundabout.

This adjustment is necessary to continue work on the south side lanes of the roundabout, which is part of a larger project known as the Medora Business Loop and City Section project. This initiative is considered a significant infrastructure investment in Medora, particularly as the city anticipates more visitors with the upcoming opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.

"The NDDOT is committed to transparency and will keep the public informed as the project progresses."
