As part of the ongoing improvement project on U.S. Highway 2 in Williston, temporary traffic changes will be implemented starting Wednesday, June 4. These lane modifications are anticipated to last approximately one week.

The traffic pattern changes include adjustments for eastbound and westbound lanes at the intersection near Williston Square. For eastbound U.S. 2, the dedicated right-turn and through lanes will be closed, with all eastbound traffic being routed into a single lane that allows straight, left, or right movements from that lane only. Similarly, for westbound U.S. 2 (southbound at the intersection), the right-turn and through lanes will also be closed, with all southbound traffic directed into a single lane allowing straight, left, or right movements from that lane only.

These changes are deemed necessary to complete critical manhole work and set up traffic control for continued intersection reconstruction.

Motorists should prepare for slower traffic and potential delays within the work zone. Additional signage and traffic control measures will guide drivers through the area. Access to local businesses and residences will remain open throughout the duration of the project.
