Miriam Avenue, located west of Centennial Road/Bismarck Expressway in Bismarck, North Dakota, is currently closed due to ongoing construction work on the Interstate 94 Exit 161 Interchange project. A detour has been established via Divide Avenue to facilitate traffic flow.

The closure will persist until the completion of concrete work in the area. Concurrently, lane closures are also active on Centennial Road/Bismarck Expressway. Drivers are urged to adhere to posted signs and remain vigilant for crews and equipment while navigating through the work zone.

This project commenced in spring 2024 and is scheduled to continue through summer 2026. It aims to enhance traffic movement by removing two left-turn movements and incorporating right-turn loops for improved travel efficiency. The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) expressed gratitude towards the public for their patience and cooperation as this significant infrastructure development progresses.
