The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) has announced a call for presentation proposals for the 2026 North Dakota Transportation Conference. This annual event is scheduled to take place on March 10-11 at the Bismarck Event Center.

The conference aims to feature engaging presentations that delve into various transportation topics, highlighting modern concepts and innovative solutions. According to NDDOT conference lead Dawn Phelps, "Each year, this conference brings together nearly 1,000 participants—from local, state, federal, and tribal representatives to university partners, contractors, consultants, and members of transportation associations." She added that they are proud to provide a platform that showcases diverse perspectives united by a commitment to advancing North Dakota’s transportation system.

Proposals are welcome on any topic relevant to the audience but may include elements such as safety; construction innovations; environmental considerations in planning and permitting; agency and community partnerships; community planning; public involvement; contracting; project planning and design; logistics; workforce readiness; research; materials; geotechnical aspects; and surveying.

Interested speakers should submit their proposals by Friday, July 18. Presentations should aim to offer valuable insights, encourage meaningful discussions, and provide actionable takeaways for attendees.
