Structure repairs on the Interstate 94/Red River Bridge are nearing completion, according to the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT). The final phase will involve nightly lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. over the next two weeks.
Beginning September 29, westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane for up to two nights. After this work is completed, crews will shift to the eastbound lanes, which will also be limited to a single lane for up to two nights. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. each morning.
During this period, guardrail repair will occur on the Eighth Street westbound entrance ramp, resulting in a reduction to one lane of traffic there as well.
The week of October 6, westbound traffic will again be reduced to one lane for up to two nights while crews finish concrete paving near the ramp.
Work schedules may change due to weather conditions. Drivers are advised to remain alert and follow posted signs when traveling through the construction area.
In a statement, NDDOT said: "NDDOT appreciates your patience throughout this project. We are pleased to deliver essential structural upgrades to the I-94 bridge connecting Fargo, North Dakota, and Moorhead, Minnesota."
