North Dakota DOT schedules public input session for US Highway 2 project

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) has scheduled a public input meeting on October 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. Central Time to discuss planned intersection improvements at U.S. Highway 2 and North 43rd Street in Grand Forks.

The event will take place at the Career Impact Academy, located at 1210 N 43rd St., Grand Forks. The meeting will follow an open house format, with a formal presentation set for 5:30 p.m.

Planned work includes relocating turn lanes and tapers, modifying existing medians, constructing new medians, and updating striping layouts.

NDDOT representatives will be present to answer questions and address concerns from the public.

For those unable to attend, written comments are being accepted until October 22, 2025. According to the department: "The NDDOT will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities. Language interpretation and translation services will be available upon request for this meeting."
