The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) has announced that rest areas along Interstate 29 near Hillsboro, North Dakota, will be temporarily closed on Thursday, Oct. 16 for maintenance and repairs.
The rest areas are located at mile marker 99, just south of Hillsboro, and serve both northbound and southbound travelers on I-29. According to the NDDOT, the maintenance work is expected to be completed within the same day.
The department has advised drivers to be cautious in work zones. "The North Dakota Department of Transportation would like to remind motorists to slow down and use caution throughout work zones."
The temporary closure is part of ongoing efforts by the NDDOT to maintain highway infrastructure and ensure safety for motorists.
