The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is inviting the public to provide further feedback on its draft Public and Non-Metropolitan Local Official Participation Plan. This plan outlines how the department involves the public and local officials in statewide transportation planning and programming.

The draft document can be accessed on the NDDOT website by navigating to the “Construction & Planning” section, selecting “Transportation Plans & Programs,” and clicking on the “DRAFT 2025 Public Non Metropolitan Local Government Official Participation Plan” link.

Those interested in submitting comments are asked to send their feedback in writing, either by mail or email, with the subject “Public Non-Metro Participation Plan.” The deadline for comments is November 17, 2025. Submissions should be addressed to Davin Cermak at the NDDOT Planning and Asset Management Division, 608 East Boulevard Avenue, Bismarck, ND 58505-0700, or sent via email to dotplanning@nd.gov.

NDDOT states, “The NDDOT will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities. Language interpretation and translation services will be available upon request for this meeting.”

The plan is intended to ensure that both the public and non-metropolitan local officials have opportunities to participate in transportation planning decisions.
