In the coming weeks, drivers in Medora, North Dakota should anticipate several changes to traffic patterns as work on the Medora Business Loop and City Section project advances.

During the week of July 14, a roundabout will be fully opened for use. However, construction will continue at the southeast corner of the Chateau Road intersection with an expected completion date in fall.

The following week, starting July 21, bridge girders will be installed. This will cause short-term traffic disruptions on Pacific Avenue as materials are delivered and put into place.

By mid-August, work will progress to pouring the north side bridge deck. Afterward, barriers and rails will be installed. Upon completion of this phase, traffic will move to the north side so crews can begin working on the south side deck.

This project is part of a larger effort to improve Medora’s infrastructure in anticipation of increased visitors due to the opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library. The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) emphasizes its commitment to transparency and promises to keep residents informed throughout the project’s development.
