ND Dept of Emergency Services issued the following announcement.
We celebrate them every day, but this week, we especially want to recognize our State Radio dispatchers for the critical work they do day in and day out. Sunday was the start of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, typically held the second week in April. It is set aside to honor the emergency professionals who are always available to answer the call when the public needs them most.
Our Division of State Radio coordinates 9-1-1 services for 25 of North Dakota's 53 counties, is the primary dispatch center for the North Dakota Highway Patrol and responds to calls for emergency assistance from across the state. This week, we wanted to learn from them by asking, "What is the best part of being an emergency dispatcher?"
Thank you, 9-1-1 dispatchers, for all you do for us!
