Event Description:
This course is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform safe basic care for patients (acute care setting) and residents (long term care settings) under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The CNA course will follow the curriculum requirements set forth by the ND Department of Health (DOH) and participant testing will be conducted via D&S Diversified Technologies Headmaster, LLP (hereafter referred to as Headmaster) guidelines. Satisfactory completion of the course enables participants to complete the written knowledge and skill return demonstration examinations. Participants may test up to three times (as needed) and upon successful completion, can apply to the DOH to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and seek employment in a health care facility. The CNA program is set up in three sections: classroom/lab, clinical instruction, and testing.
