Denbigh Experimental Forest near Towner, ND is a local gem to visit year-round, even with the your furry friends! This experimental forest was established back in 1931 to research conifer and hardwood trees that would survive in the area. Now it is managed by U.S. Forest Service-Dakota Prairie Grasslands. It has served as a seed source for some of the seedlings we grow at Towner State Nursery, as well as a unique recreation space and wildlife habitat too.

Thank you to Jennifer Russell (@hikingtrails.puppydogtails on Instagram) for sharing these AMAZING photos of her recent visit!
