3.1% of citizens in North Dakota unemployed in 2021

North Dakota's unemployment rate hit 3.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That's 13,152 people out of the 773,344 living in North Dakota at the time, according to data U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26, 2023.

The unemployment rate in North Dakota has increased compared to the 3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in North Dakota was less than the national unemployment rate of 5.5%.
