Third and fourth grade educators in the state have an opportunity to enhance their classroom curriculum with a free agriculture literacy book bundle. This initiative is part of Ag Literacy Week, scheduled for March 17-21, 2025.
Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring emphasized the importance of this program, stating, “I encourage educators to take advantage of this opportunity to embed agriculture into their classrooms. Students will learn about agriculture and connect it to what they’re learning in the classroom. With ag literacy week and state and national ag celebrations coming up in March, this is the perfect time to incorporate these materials.”
The offer is available to the first 30 qualified educators who apply. They will receive both the book bundle and additional educational resources. Educators are expected to utilize these materials by April 7, 2025, and complete follow-up surveys from the North Dakota Department of Agriculture by April 14, 2025. The application can be accessed at https://www.ndda.nd.gov/bookbundle.
