Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak of North Dakota has expressed her support for the House Budget Resolution, which she believes will make life more affordable and secure for Americans. According to Fedorchak, the budget aligns with President Trump's America First policy agenda by focusing on border security, energy production, tax relief, and reducing wasteful spending.

"Our country is on a dangerous path to financial ruin," said Fedorchak. She highlighted that federal spending has reached $37 trillion, equating to $295,000 per American family. The congresswoman emphasized that this level of spending is hindering economic growth and making success more difficult.

Fedorchak voted in favor of the resolution as a step towards changing course from what she describes as the "disastrous policies" of the previous administration. She argues that restoring fiscal sanity involves eliminating waste and inefficiency across government programs, including Medicaid.

"Republicans are working to save Medicaid," Fedorchak stated. She advocates for reforms such as verifying eligibility and requiring able-bodied adults with low incomes to work or volunteer 20 hours a week. Despite proposed savings, overall Medicaid spending is projected to increase by $1.5 trillion over the next decade.

Tax reform is another focal point for Fedorchak. She criticized Democratic proposals for tax increases, asserting they would harm working Americans most. "When taxes go up, small businesses struggle," she noted.

Fedorchak supports extending the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act beyond its expiration at year-end. Without extension, families could face significant tax hikes and reductions in benefits like the child tax credit.

"North Dakotans sent me to Washington to cut the debt," said Fedorchak. Her goal is to reduce debt, reform programs, and ensure government accountability while ushering in what she calls a new era of American exceptionalism.
