The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) has scheduled two public input meetings to discuss proposed improvements to US Highway 52. The meetings will take place on September 29 and September 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. Central Time.
The first meeting will be held at the Velva Public School Gym in Velva on September 29, while the second is set for the Sleep Inn and Suites, Sunrise Room, in Minot on September 30. Both meetings will follow an open-house format with a formal presentation scheduled from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
The project under discussion involves expanding US Highway 52 from a two-lane highway to a four-lane highway between Minot (approximately 2.3 miles west of Junction 79th Avenue Southeast) and Voltaire.
Representatives from NDDOT and Ulteig will be present at both events to answer questions and address concerns related to the project.
A pre-recorded presentation along with other materials will be made available on the NDDOT website at www.dot.nd.gov/public-input starting September 29.
For those unable to attend in person, written comments can be submitted by mail or email until October 15. Comments should reference “Public Input Meeting - PCN 24012” in the letter heading or email subject line and be sent to Mike Huffington at either his Fargo mailing address or mike.huffington@ulteig.com.
NDDOT states that it "will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities." Language interpretation and translation services are also available upon request for these meetings.
