A rest area along Interstate 94 near Oriska, North Dakota, is scheduled to shut down next week for a significant upgrade project. The rest area, positioned two miles east of Oriska at mile marker 304, will close on Monday, April 28, and is anticipated to remain unavailable until fall 2026.

The improvement endeavor includes demolishing the current building and erecting a new structure. Additionally, the parking lot will be reconstructed to provide more space for trucks.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation urges drivers to reduce speed and exercise caution while navigating the work zone.
