Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak (R-ND) hosted 180 veterans from Western North Dakota in Washington, D.C., as part of the Western North Dakota Honor Flight. The group, under the guidance of Capitol Police, journeyed from their hotel to the U.S. Capitol steps, where they were greeted by Fedorchak and Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum. The visitors were then taken on a tour of the Capitol Rotunda and the House Chamber.

"North Dakota has a proud tradition of service, and these men and women embody the very best of who we are," Fedorchak stated. "Welcoming our heroes from western North Dakota and bringing them to the House Floor—the heart of democracy—was one of the greatest privileges I’ve had in Congress. I hope this visit served as a small token of our deep gratitude and a reminder that we will never forget their service to our great nation."

The veterans, once on the House Floor, were provided with remarks from Fedorchak detailing her experiences in Congress and her focus areas within Washington. Additionally, Capitol Historian Matthew Wasniewski offered them insights into the historical significance of the House Chamber.
