Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak of North Dakota addressed the House Floor to commend the community of Minot for being recognized as one of the 2025 Great American Defense Communities. This acknowledgment comes in anticipation of her upcoming visit to Minot Air Force Base, where she will explore the SENTINEL project and engage with personnel from the 5th Bomb Wing.

In her prepared remarks, Fedorchak expressed pride in Minot's achievement, noting that only three cities nationwide received this distinction. She highlighted Minot's dedication to supporting service members stationed at the local air force base.

"Through events like the Prairie Warrior Auction, efforts by local leaders, and initiatives led by the Minot Area Chamber, this community goes above and beyond to welcome airmen and support their families," Fedorchak stated. She emphasized Minot's initiatives in raising funds for airmen during holidays and educating on nuclear deterrence.

Fedorchak praised Minot's motto, "Only the Best Come North," reflecting their commitment to excellence. She concluded by congratulating Minot on its recognition and thanking them for their continuous support of military personnel.
