The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is seeking public input on its draft Public and Non-Metropolitan Local Official Participation Plan. The plan outlines how the public and non-metropolitan local officials can be involved in statewide transportation planning and programming.

According to NDDOT, the document serves as a guide for including non-metropolitan local officials and interested parties in the statewide transportation planning process. The draft plan is available for review on the NDDOT website at www.dot.nd.gov by navigating through “Construction & Planning,” then “Transportation Plans & Programs,” and selecting the “DRAFT 2025 Public Non Metropolitan Local Government Official Participation Plan” link.

Written comments regarding the plan must be submitted by October 12, 2025. Comments should include “Public Non-Metro Participation Plan” in the subject line or letter heading and be sent to Davin Cermak at NDDOT’s Planning and Asset Management Division, 608 East Boulevard Avenue, Bismarck, ND 58505-0700, or via email to dotplanning@nd.gov.

NDDOT states: "The NDDOT will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities. Language interpretation and translation services will be available upon request for this meeting."
